Hearts to Boston

As the world knows, yesterday at the Boston Marathon, 2 bombs went off.  The death toll is 3, and the injured is around 152 (as of now).

I had a 2nd cousin running this year, she was 1/4 of a mile from the finish as a bomb went off, fortunately she was farther back and was rerouted and didn't know the full extent of the chaos.

I know Boston, I was just at Red Sox opening day.  Boston is too close to home to have chaos like this going on.  Mind you, NYC and 9/11 was too close for comfort too, but I was in 2nd grade, i remember the day clearly but I was too young to comprehend how frightening it truly was (and remember a lot because of that).

I don't know why someone would do this, but a lot more people in this world are sicker than I would like to acknowledge.

Let us all keep Boston in our hearts right now, as the city streets slowly reopen and investigations start turning up with answers.  This is too close for my comfort, I could drive an hour and be there (though I would take the train, I would never drive to Boston, that city's not meant for cars!).

Back to the real world for me, after an exciting, somewhat extended weekend.

Needless to say its been long, but so good!!

All this weekend on less than $50.  The shark tickets were no cost to us, the Sox tickets were no cost to us, I paid for both IMAX tickets but Kristin paid for food for those days.

... My Professor is telling me that lighting a cigarette used to be more dangerous than texting and driving but isn't now because almost no one smokes, what a joke! What world is she living in?

My English Professor really is crazy, and dives me completely out of my mind!  She wants us to always use our laptops, but then has us submit work online and in paper, choose one lady! She also has no idea how to use a computer herself, we waste so much time for her to figure it out.

Welcome to Worcester State, where the full time professors on tenure shouldn't be working, and the part time professors should be full time because they actually teach!

My secret

On spring break our toilet paper roll had a flower on it. I taught myself how to make 'toilet paper origami' via Pinterest and have been making a fan (I call it a seashell) sporadically in the house. My sisters the only one who's seen and just asked me if I know who the toilet paper artist was. Of course I said I had no idea what she was talking about. Apperently she's the only one who's run into them and my mom thinks she's crazy.

Next up tissue box bows sporadically to make people question more.

And tonight I plan to try a towel animal, now THAT'S a talent!

I love making people's days... Up next random public bathrooms (schools dispensers don't work and works paper is not good to rip straight and weird ply but probably possible with practice).

Stupid Facebook

Has anyone else gotten their Facebook updated yet?

I've noticed that Facebook has a habit of changing the layout as soon as I get used to it, I'm sure there's plenty of people who feel the same.

Timeline was a horror when it first came out, I mean their instructions didn't help and it was too big of a jump.

I had just gotten used to timeline, and actually kind of liked it. Go on on my laptop and I see it's changed AGAIN!

I hate how they new take up a whole half of your profile feed to put your information, when it was fine, even good right next to your picture.

I mean I know timelines original 2 feeds was confusing, to this day I still don't know what the pattern to the chaos was but at least my information was right there. My posts are all friends only, that means if non-friends view my profile everything will be smüshed on the left to have nothing on the right.

Don't even get me started on the app! I'm on the latest IOS 6 update and the new Facebook up knows no such thing as working properly. This app freezes and crashes the first time I open it almost all the time, the time it takes to load and refresh are ridiculous. I'd think such a company would be competent enough to make a decent app.

But I do blame Apple for some of it. I should have never updated to IOS 6, if any of you are at 5 or get a new device not yet at 6 don't update. My moms still at 4 (and can't update), I wish I was still at 4, 5 is when a lot of problems started and my home button started becoming picky.

My point is, starting now I'm phasing out my Facebook. Deleting friends who I don't contact (not hard I only have around 85 last time I purged my list). I will keep my profile, in case someone in the future wants to get ahold of me, by leaving my email up. I'll keep family too.

I'm mostly keeping my account and the friends I keep for Candy Crush Saga (gets very difficult around level 80, and always wants your money for ridiculously priced power ups, but it's fun since my whole family plays, I recommend it)

I'm not switching media sites, I hate twitter and those are the two major ones. I'm just taking my pictures and stuff to my computer and that's that.

That's my Facebook rant, not that it wasn't a long time coming, after that whole group situation and my last post here it was really only a matter of time. Since there's nothing I can do to change it, because Facebook really doesn't care, then I'll just leave. I know I can't make a difference anymore so why stay on and be mad and frustrated everyday?

Do I have readers who are awesome?

See there's this group in Facebook that had helped me through a lot. Unfortunately this group has been taken over by 'trolls' and its become a hate group for the very people it once supported. It's about self injury. I've reported it by Facebook 'cannot confirm or deny it violates people' if I put up a link would people help me fight to get this group down? I've been kicked out for trying to stand up for the group (and left with a bang)

So would anyone help me?

He was talking about stoplights playing rock music instead of lighting up!
He also said aliens were going to find us and make fun of our ears.

Anyone know any healthy weight-loss tips?
Eating-wise mostly.
I go to the gym, even though i usually don't want to.
But after the gym i get the munchies and become ravenous toward junk food.

Can't Stand Up for Me

As a first post people probably explain who they are, but I don't feel like that today.

Short:

- Hi, I'm Sarah March

- I'm in college (at not a perfect school)

- I have a younger sister and brother, both pains

- Sometimes my whole family is a pain

- But they are a supportive family (sometimes)

- I have a beautiful Russian Tortoise, Franklin

My real thing for today, and the reason for making this blog, lies mainly in the siblings.

My sisters a High School freshman.

She thinks she's king of the world.

Did I mention we have to share a room?

I never get to go in my room unless I'm asleep.

My brothers an 8th grader.

As my Grandpa once said in his Alzheimer-y funniness, he's a "little poop."

Grandpa never lied.

Well this Little Poop got an X-Box 360 for Christmas.

He is always on, and the area it is happens to be an area my desk to study is.

He's failing Spanish, he's supposed to be limited time on it, he's not.

I've said before I can't study or do homework at my desk because he's on the X-Box.

Yet I'm always told that he gets off at 8 and I have quiet then.

College classes are supposed to have 3 hours of work for every hour you're in class.

How do they expect me to do that?

These parents are the same ones who only really care about my grades being good.

I just don't get it.

Does anyone else get how i should handle this?

I try to say something but anything I say is wrong.  

I've basically resorted to being quiet and keeping my distance.

But that doesn't make a person feel good inside.

I try to reasonably talk it out with my parents they take it as an attack.

And no I'm not throwing attacks out, I'm over high school drama and garbage.
